Through our program "MINDFULNESS – BEING AWARE OF SAFETY", we invited leaders from operations and HSEQ to deliver a message of Safety, coming from their own experience. The objective is for our leaders to guide our employees to achieve a "Zero Accidents" culture. This program is the result of the collaborative work of two departments: HSEQ & Human Resources, that are focused on finding new ways to tackle the ever-present challenge of achieving a safety culture.

At Petroworks, we think that Christmas is an auspicious time to reconcile with life and to spend quality time with our loved ones.

In order to provide for safe Christmas and New Year celebrations, we launched the “CHRISTMAS WITHOUT ACCIDENTS” campaign, in which we encouraged our employees to reflect on each one´s role in the safety of our selves as individuals and as a team.

On January 24, 2020, the three-day RUC audit process conducted by the Colombian Security Council was completed. The final report stated a 90% of compliance Petroworks´ HSEQ Management System. We highlight the commitment and effort of all Petroworks employees that produced this result.

Petroworks doesn’t only focus on drilling, maintenance and reconditioning of oil wells, but also targets Geothermal well drilling projects. This was demonstrated with the Chachimbiro Project, in which our company had the opportunity to participate together with other important companies and public entities in the energy sector. This project was carried out in the Republic of Ecuador, in the Chachimbiro field, at a height of 3600msnm, with our PW 150 drilling rig, a supersingle type hydraulic drill, model HH220SA. During the execution of this project, we successfully drilled a geothermal well intended to assess the geothermal potential of the field.

  1.  In Petroworks we have implemented a new training program for our workers called Start up Training, which is focused on the care of the environment, safety culture and risk management of our company. Through this program we are ensuring that all our workers know, understand and operate the processes related to safety and environmental care.

    In May, 2019, Bureau Veritas carried out the follow-up visit under the requirements and guidelines of the ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015, OHSAS 18001: 2007 norms. During this visit we demonstrated compliance of the Integral Management System documents with the requirements of the audited standards.

  1. Petroworks has been providing the casing running services continuously since 2013. To date, more than 430 casing running jobs have been carried out in Colombia, adding up to more than 1.1 million feet of casing.

During the second half of 2019, Petroworks added two 1,500 HP state-of-the-art electric rigs to its fleet, the PW-160 and the PW-163. Among the main features of this equipment are the following: pressurized cab, automatic driller, joystick, skidding system and automated tubular handling.

Con el fin de desarrollar al máximo las competencias humanas y de seguridad de nuestros colaboradores, Petroworks ha implementado desde el 2012, su Programa de Seguridad Basada en Comportamiento, como un módelo de gestión de riesgos que pretende disminuir los índices de incidentalidad en la empresa, derivadas de comportamientos subestándar, mediante la implementación de estrategias tales como: Actividades Pedagógicas; Coaching SBC; Actividades Lúdicas de intervención en comportamientos seguros y Proceso de Observación que generen conocimiento y recordación práctica en pro de una cultura de seguridad.
